The Meet-Cute
Every great love story has a spark, but Kitty and Baran’s was a beautiful slow burn that started back in 2015. They were desk neighbors at Thales Avionics with a hilarious mutual mix-up—Baran assumed Kitty was an intern, while Kitty thought Baran was full-time! Thanks to a persistent team lead who kept inviting Kitty to their group lunches, the ice was finally broken and they connected.
Geeking Out & Growing Together
For years, they built an amazing friendship, discovering a shared passion for everything from Subaru builds and road trips to Lego and anime. They also bonded over being absolute tech nerds, happily geeking out together over things like USB standards, NFC tags, and the latest Bluetooth gadgets. After years of making memories as best friends, that spark finally ignited into an incredible romance. The foundation they had nurtured for so long had naturally turned into the love of a lifetime.
The Perfect Connection
In 2025, during an unforgettable trip to Japan, Baran asked the easiest question of Kitty's life right under the magical, falling petals of a cherry blossom tree at Senso-ji Temple. Now, the countdown is on! The celebration continues on July 18, 2026, at The University Club at UC Irvine.
